Hitting and Fielding Clinic (flyer Registration Form)
One main emphasis of Needham Fastpitch is skills development. Players need time outside of game day to work on developing their skills. Hitting and fielding both require the proper mechanics which can be taught in a clinic setting. Working during the off season on these skills will make a huge difference when it comes time to play the games.
This year we are lucky to have partnered with the Babson College softball coach, Dave Canan and his team, to offer our players hitting and fielding instruction. Babson is a division 3 softball program right here in our back yard. Their program has had great success in Coach Dave’s tenure. Between the instruction and the opportunity to rub shoulders with college level athletes, this will be a great experience for our players.
The lessons will be held indoors at the Babson Pavilion sports complex from September through December. Assuming that goes well, and if schedules allow, we may offer a second session from January through April.
The exact dates of the clinics are being worked out with the Babson coach and their facilities person but there will be 10 sessions and it will cost $200.
